Judy Garland managed to avoid that compromised life, and Jo-Ann is
determined to follow in her footsteps.
What do you do when you feel that flame burning inside you,
but you know it won't foot the bill? You know if you follow that
flame, you might starve, and you will if you don't.
More often than not, we have some kind of role model we would like
to be like. As we travel with Jo-Anne through her career as an entertainer,
she also takes us on a journey through the life of Judy Garland. To her
Judy became more than just a role model, she became a friend. A friend that
was always somewhere on the background through a bumpy career as a Garland
impersonator and a failed actress. Judy is even present in that final
moment where Jo-Anne needs to make the choice between a financially more
secure, but compromised life, or to keep hoping for that ticket to the
other side of the rainbow.
