to the New Wave in Grahamstown
The New Wave TheatreCompany is, in it's own tradition, making waves again at the Standard Bank National Festival of Arts. We are proud to present 6 brand new shows including farce, cabaret, comedy and various other genres. We are also proud to present, for the first time, one slot per day allocated to the film festival. Various short films will be screened at the New Wave Theatre Venue. Headed by Deon Opperman, we promise to produce entertaining theatre of the highest quality. Through discussion and constructive criticism we ensure that our standards remain at optimum level.
Our objective is to constantly re-invent the theatre experience. This is accomplished through challenging the imagination and harnessing the power of spectacle, in order to confront our audience with relevant problems of the South African condition.
